Deeper than Art

Art. When this word pops up what comes to mind? One may say paint or crayons or drawers or something along those lines. Art is far more than what the small word seems to put off. the history of art is deeply interesting due to the broadness of the subject. During the viewing of the documentary How art Made the world, I was really enlightened on what art really is. Art is more than just creations humans buy or design in the name of art. Art is practically the basis of human life. Even the human body is used in the world of art and has been for many years. The human body was actually a huge dicussion in the documentry. for example a key question about art of the human body was why do exaggerated images seem more attractive to us as human beings as displayed in the famous sculptureVenus of Willendorf. the argument was that art is hard wired into the human brain and naturally us as humans are amazed by so. To me art is a subject that can be related to almost anything. Art is what makes the world appealing to us humans. everything that you can name has something to do with art, regardless of if you like it or not. the most exotic things attract us humans due to the fact that our eyes aren't prone to seeing these things in such a different manner. for example, in the video viewed in my Writing the world class famous art structures were created in odd forms. bodies built with unproportional shapes.
